PVT NATHAN J. BERG
ARMY

Nathan (22) was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a great person with a huge heart and he dazzled you with his brautiful and genunie smile. Nathan was funny, smart, handsome, lyal, kind, senstitive, and had a heart of gold. He had a few close friends, and he valued the quality of the friendships more than the quantity.

Nathan loved to keep his body in shape with exercise and healthy eating. He ate so clean and he was so lean that at one point, I tried to sneak a little butter into his eggs, but he caught me and wouldn't eat them!

Nathan struggled a bit deciding what he wanted to do with his life. Although it was a stretch for him, once he decided on the Army, he seemed very ready for this new challenge and adventure. I believe he had God in his life especially during basic training. He embraced the boot camp experience and, at graduation, he was beaming with pride and anticipation.

Our family - Paul, Michael and myself - wer very close. Nathan loved hanging out with the family and he would be so happy to know he nieces, nephew, and sister-in-law. He is thought of and missed every single day by his family and friends. I hold onto my faith that one day soon we will be reunited and joy will replace the tears.
