PVT Teddy “David” Jones was born September 20, 1924, near Tekamah, NE. His parents were Orville and Cora (Rounds) Jones.

David completed 11th grade, enlisting in the Army on April 23, 1943. He completed Basic Training at Fort Leavenworth, KS. In July 1944, he served with Company B, 32nd Battalion, 8th Rept. Regiment at Fort George in Meade, MD in preparation for overseas duty.

David was killed in action on October 3, 1944, in a truck accident while fighting in Belgium. He was buried at the Henri-Chappelle American Cemetery in Belgium.
